Read it here! http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_world/view/1102129/1/.html

I'm no fan of natural disasters, so I'm personally glad I wasn't caught up in this one and still leading a normal life in sunny Singaoire. However, I do feel pity for those who were killed in that tornado.

Come to think of it, haven't the number of natural disasters significantly increased over the years? I suppose it's to do with global warming, the way we are treating the planet hasn't exactly been very nice, after all.

This tornado in particular tore through 3 different states of the USA and caused quite a huge amount of property damage as well as killing six individuals. As usual, the people didn't expect it and now realise how much damage just a simple tornado can cause and how devastating it can be to their lives.

Typing this out in my quiet and comfortable room, I can't help but wonder if Singapore will ever undergo and natural disasters. I know it might never happen since we have been told that Singapore is safe from almost any natural disaster, but I can't help but wonder what we would do in such a scenario, as well as what lives might be lost. Regardless, I hope that the rest of the people did not suffer too much injuries and were still capable of celebrating the new year as well! Happy 2011 and I'll sign off here.
